Book Cover Designs
FAQ
To begin the initial design stage, E. L. Julian will require:
Book title (or working title)
Genre
Author name (or pen name)
A brief synopsis (books themes, symbolism, basic plot; things you might want incorporated into your cover; any element you do NOT want on your cover
(e.g: some authors don't like covers with people's faces/distinguishable models, and prefer silhouettes, shadow, or objects)
Approximate word count
But if you don't know this information off the top of your head, don't worry - E. L. Julian will provide a form to fill in via email after you confirm your quote.
Absolutely! E. L. Julian loves it when clients can send through images, screenshots, or examples of what you like, what you don't like. It's all part of the design process.
No worries. If none of the first 3 concepts are quite what you're after, we will discuss what's working and what's not working so that a new set of concepts can be designed.
E. L. Julian will work with you every step of the way until we get the final result you're after.
Once all designs are confirmed, you will be prompted to pay the final installment of the design fee.
Once that has come through, E. L. Julian will then send you all the final files outlined in your contract.
This depends on how far through the design process you are.
If you cancel after you have paid a deposit but no work has been carried out yet, your deposit will be refunded. Nice and simple.
If you would like to cancel after you have paid your deposit and a significant amount of design work has been carried out, the amount refunded will be dependent on the amount of work already completed.
(e.g. If you paid your 30% deposit, but more than 40% of the work has already been completed, then the deposit will not be refunded).
