About the Author

E. L. Julian is a Kiwi horror & historical fiction writer, book cover designer, and doll customizer.

Originally an aspiring manga artist, E. L. Julian found solace and catharsis in writing, (horror especially) after being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and a string of other chronic conditions.

Her short horror stories and pieces of micro-fiction, Wolves in Sheep’s ClothingSpace InvadersHelping HandsMoonlit Monsters, and Symphony of Screams have been published in the ‘Cryptids and Conspiracies’ and ‘100 Ways to Die’ anthologies by Crow’s Feet Journal.

Born and raised in Christchurch, New Zealand, she enjoys watching Korean dramas & horror movies, reading manga, and making custom dolls for her YouTube channel, Kreepy Kitty Creations; many of which are recreations of characters from her books.

Free audiobooks & Readings

If you enjoy watching craft videos, you might enjoy these doll customising videos! Each one also includes a reading of  entire short stories or sneak peek previews of published and future books.

But if that's not your thing, that's okay! E. L. Julian has a separate writing channel where you can listen to these as audiobooks.

Mini Teketeke Doll

This doll was inspired by Teketeke; the creature from the Japanese urban legend that forms the basis of the origin story Scritch Scratch: The Legend of Teketeke (now available for preorder!)

This doll was up for grabs, along with a bunch of other goodies for anyone who preorders in either eBook or paperback!

The repaint video also features an audiobook reading of Chapter 1.

Teketeke Character Art

Enjoy watching speedpaints? Come and see how I drew the custom character art for Scritch Scratch: The Legend of Teketeke featured in the paperback!

Blood Nun Doll

This doll was inspired by a short story I wrote called The Calling. The submission called for a 1,000 word ghost story, and this is what I came up with.
It turned out to be an emotional piece to write, and as I have researched more on the underlying topic I am inspired to develop it into a novel or novella.

Until then, I hope you enjoy the doll repaint, if you're into that sort of thing; if you're not, I have also included the audiobook reading only on my author YouTube channel, E. L. Julian - Horror Writing Introvert for free, for those of you not into craft videos.

Mystery Mummy

Come and listen to a sneak peek from Chapter 1 of Till Death Us Depart (Book 1 in The Eternal Plague Trilogy) as we make a doll version of the 'Mystery Mummy' featured in the book (currently in development.)

Complete with custom sarcophagus, gilded with silver leaf; and glow-in-the-dark eyes!

Eustice - The Black-Eyed Boy

These dolls were inspired by the piece Wolves in Sheep’s Clothing, which was featured in the Cryptids and Conspiracies’ anthology by Crow’s Feet Journal.
The video shows how the boy doll is made whilst reading the story as an audiobook (click image to the left to watch).

But I have also included the audiobook reading only on my author YouTube channel, E. L. Julian - Horror Writing Introvert for free, for those of you not into craft videos.

Eunice - The Black-Eyed Girl

The video shows how the girl doll is made whilst reading Space Invaders, which was also featured in the Cryptids and Conspiracies’ anthology by Crow’s Feet Journal. as an audiobook (click image to the left to watch).
